High Blood Pressure at Applebee's
Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.
Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure
Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. You must also skip Brunch Burger, Quesadilla Burger, Triple Bacon Burger, and Whiskey Bacon Burger at Applebee's. High sodium intake can be lethal for a high blood pressure candidate. About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak. We went with a fairly large group (10), and since we were all on business we wanted separate checks. The Waitress was very sarcastic when she hear it and kept complaining about having to do separate checks and that it was going to take a long time because it's a hassle. I ordered the cheese steak and it was ok, nothing to write home about, but the place looks like a good place to have a beer, appetizer and watch some sports.

Please note that I wrote this review as I was served at the establishment Service was prompt for drinks and the waitress was kind and helpful Menus arrived promptly after drink orders and the drinks soon followed The menu looks visually appealinf and has a wide variety of what you would expect, bar food Once again, service was prompt for the main orders. So far I am very impressed with the waitressing staff, it is also important to note at this point that the place was not very full despite the fact that I went on a Friday night. There are a multitude of tvs but this is to be expected from a bar and personally I see nothing wrong with this. Appetizers were a little slow to come out. However a party of 16 had just walked in so that was a little understandable but inconvienent nonetheless The food was excellent. I got the bbq bacon cheeseburger and it was great. I would like to try their other sandwiches in the future as they all look good. It looks like you really can't go wrong here All in all, definately recomend this if you aren't in too much of a hurry. I really enjoyed the food and the drinks here and the service was pretty good

We were looking for a place to eat on our way to the SWFL airport, and stumbled upon Beef O'Brady's, a couple miles out. The waitress was super friendly and attentive and we felt welcomed immediately. The menu choices were great and all reasonable priced. I got the grilled chicken sandwich on the value menu. It came with fries and a soft drink. The chicken was very thick (I questioned if it was cooked enough, but it was) and tasty. Could have been hotter. My hubby had the twin hot dogs and he enjoyed them as well. Will certainly return!

2/24/2015 - We live down the street and have seen the ups and downs over the years. Its been under a new owner/managment and they have done a GREAT job of turning it around about a year ago. The food is consistent and the staff of young college kids all have a great attitude. We come here every Tuesday for lunch with the office and stop in for dinner about once a month. Keep up the great work!

We had a very nice young girl, Gwen as a server. We had a veggie flatbread pizza and a reuben sandwich which were pretty good and reasonably priced. It was very crowded by the time we were leaving. Nice location, close to all the hotels in the area. We did not want anything really large, and this was just enough to hold us over. I would go back for a snack and/or drink.

First time visit a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon. Staff was very intentive and friendly. Prices reasonable. I have been ordering the veggie bowl and salad which is tasty and delicious, and reasonably priced. The drink prices are good. I was very disappointed when I found out they close early most evenings. I work late at night and it's hard to find places that are open after nine at night. Hopefully they'll one day consider staying open later.

This is a quiet place snugged in a plaza that is next to a grocery store and a liquor store. Ample parking The interior is typical of a sports bar. There are more TVs fixed on the walls than there are items on their menu. Its hard to keep your focus while every possible sport and televised function is played. It reminded me a Irish pub crossed with Buffalo Wild Wings. Their service is unremarkable. Average at least. Younger girls looking for summer jobs. They do provide some eye candy. And for that Beef 'O'brady's you get 1 star for waitress selection. Key for a sports bar. Oddly, despite their selection in Hooter girls, kids eat free on Tuesday and this happened to be the day I chose to dine. Fortunately, the kids were well mannered, primarily out of distraction from under aged over-sized breasts. The food is not good. I got the Steak burrito and should have been called a Rubber Wrap. This monstrosity was impossible to chew, my TMJ flared like Simba suffering Mufasa's death. It had no flavor and was soaked in some sauce. A good steak doesn't need sauce. The salad was browning in front of me and slightly soggy. They only good thing about this joint is their soft drink selection. You can find an assortment of Coca Cola products from the well known to the elitist drinks. It really is a blessing, these soft drinks aide to wash out what ever nasty food you have in your mouth. Overall Beef 'O'Brady's you have disappointed yet another customer, perhaps all the geriatric population in Ft. Myers lacks taste buds to truly 'appreciate' your food. I will not return.

They always take care of us at this location. We eat here often and have always had a good experience. Good bar food if you're in the mood for something fried. Love the boneless wings, fries and onion rings. They have a generous rewards punch card and send coupons in the mail. Very reasonably priced especially if you take advantage of these money saving tips.

Well priced good food. Plenty of TVs to catch some great college football. GO GREEN, GO WHITE!!!
(4)Selene R.
Be careful if you order kids drinks and share wings with your kids they will charge you full price beverages and serve drinks in kiddy cups... Smh!
(1)John D.
This is the typical cookie-cutter corporate chain restaurant with enough televisions on the wall, all seemingly on different channels, to keep you distracted from your dining companion. Having said that, the food & service are actually good. The crunchy grouper sandwich and shrimp wrap were both tasty and enjoyable. The portions, happily, were not super-sized.

came on a bad night too many old trivia playing northerners, the server was awesome, my burger was great , the smell of old people was overbearing , manager was pleasant.
(3)Kathy D.
A large group of us went to Beef's last night to play Thursday's Trivia Pursuit and celebrate a couple of birthdays. I must say that in the past service and cleanliness were an issue, and I never would have given them 2 stars then. Well, this trip was great. Everyone got their food at the same time, and the wait staff was excellent. We requested a special table set-up, and all was ready when we got there. They even keep your birthday cake in the back, light the candles when ready, and bring it out to you. We provide our own plates and forks. So glad that management has picked things up!
(4)Shannon H.
Good food, hard to get a hold of mid day when calling in a lunch order, but they're friendly.
(3)Jane Q.
I have been going here for 4-5 years. They changed owners last year which sucks because the place ran better before. Don't get me wrong though, the servers are sweet. When it is "season", go early! It gets crazy crowded! One time I waited an hour for my food. I had the fish tacos one time, not very good. The best things on the menu are the traditional wings with fresh celery and the straight fries. Also the fish fry on Fridays is so yummy! It has a light, crispy taste. As soon as you bite into it, you are in heaven! The wings are crispy but wet, so delicious!!! Get the garlic Parmesan wings. Thee best in the world so far! All drinks are great too. I love the beers and mango iced tea! The owner now is a little coo-coo but overall this is my fav wings place! : ) love all the flat screens too!
(3)Steve S.
Change this joint's name to "Beef O'Waity's"....never waited so long for service and food.....terrible, terrible service. Would never, ever go back. Geez, I think they gave me 10 fries with my burger too! This place needs a good scrubbing too...kind of nasty.
